S-video to component input

I was thinking about installing an Audio Authority auto-sensing switch because the wife has difficulty selecting separate inputs on separate devices to change between the DVD and Satellite, etc.

However, the satellite is the only item in the system that does not have Component video output.

I am wondering if there is any way to get the s-video signal to a component video signal (even if I have to build the circuit myself).

The only solution that I could find was to use a "cheese block" to conver the s-video to VGA and then a VGA to component scan converter. But then we are talking about $200 just to conver the signal.

Anyone have a better idea?

Thanks.
