Posted on Saturday, January 10, 2009 - 23:17 GMT King note that i have installed 9 motorized until now. first you select a satellite like 110W with strong signal before aim the dish and when position is end you power off the motor in motor menu. Now you align your dish for get the best signal. If your motor bracket is well adjust and your setting in Usals are right, it work every times. Then you check on souther sattellite for best signal, then you check extreme east and west satellites for best signal you lift or raise the dish arm and do the adjustment for best signal on all satellites. Very important: do a self positioning before trying to aim, because your motor should not be on the good position and will lose your time to aim it and hat your dish. My best aiming is 1 hours without scanning but it will be 2 hours. Voila |

Posted on Sunday, January 11, 2009 - 03:29 GMT King On a motorized dish as mine you set the skew on "0" and the dish turn and get the exact Skew. On prealignment you get the best south azimut but when it's time to aim it, you can use the satellite you want, personnaly I use Nimiq 2(4 now) but it work on Nimiq 1 or 110W or 61.5W, try to aim it with a linear, the first time can be hard with a little 30", I have a 33" and the signal is not "top". You must be positionned on a satellite with the LNB off, because the receiver try to found the signal(fine tuning),you move the antenna to position and put the motor OFF and put the LNB ON and you aim the dish: Azimut then Elevation. You try other satellite.... I hope you undestand my point of view. |

Posted on Sunday, January 11, 2009 - 04:10 GMT King If you try to aim as for the manual, you should lose many time to get all satellites from east to west. I repeat you can't aim a motorized dish on all satellites with you teknic, you must aim it like a standard dish and fine tuning after. THE RECEIVER TRACK THE BEST SIGNAL AND WILL NOT BE ON THE TRUE POSITON. IN CLEAR IF YOU AIM YOUR DISH ON "0"(TRUE SOUTH) AND YOU ARE NOT PERFECTLY AIM THE RECEIVER CORRECT THE POSITION AND YOU WILL LOST SATELLITES IN EXTREME WEST OR EAST. ""So just answer me Will my way work? (Simple Yes or no)"" If you are very very very lucky you will. Play to lotery you will win too. |
