I have an HD ready tv that still needs a separate HD tuner to get HDTV. We just moved and the previous owner left a Direct tv HD tuner (H10). Can i use this unit just as an OTA HD tuner to enable me (with an antenna) to get HD channels in the area? I have never had satellite service so i wasn't sure if i could use somebody elses old equipment. Just trying to save a few bucks if don't really need to buy a separate HD tuner. Thanks for the help.

Apparently the H10 has an ATSC tuner, so you should be able to receive OTA HD signals with a good antenna.

Hopefully the previous owner left the remote control that goes with it. There may be some set up issues that require the remote.
