I didn't see an answer to this through a search, even though I'm sure it's been answered before...I just bought a Toshiba D-VR600KU in order to copy my commercial VHS to DVD so I don't have to buy everything all over again. It seems that the machine does not like to do this because of copy protection. My old vcr finally gave up the ghost a while ago, so I'm not able to hook up an external vcr to accomplish this. Is there any way at all to get my dvd recorder vcr combo to record from a copy protected VHS tape to a DVD using just this machine?

As far as I know, only the Panasonic combos will do what you want to do and you'll still need a stabilizer.

Any suggestions on how to unlock the protection message on my Toshiba D-R265 DVD recorder, i am trying to record my comercial VHS videos on discs and the protection message appears on the recorder.
