CRT TV blew out

After plugging my TV and surround sound into an old socket (one of these: http://www.lakewoodconferences.com/direct/dbimage/50331859/Socket.jpg), and turning them on, they both made a big bang and wouldn't turn on again. I thought it was a fuse, but after going into my garage and seeing if one was blown, none were. I plugged them into different sockets all around my house (upstairs, downstairs, even outside), and they wouldn't turn on. My guess is that they blew out.

What I want to know, is there any way I can fix the TV? Can I open it up? This is a 3 and a half year old 26 inch CRT, and it's passed it's warranty. What do I need to do to fix this myself? Unless a professional absolutely has to fix it, how can I do it myself? I don't want to spend a hundred dollars at a shop to get it fixed when the problem could be easily solved.

Thanks.
