First of all, i'd like to say hello and thank you to the community. I recently registered on the boards, allowing me to post, but I have read this site many times for help in other areas.
I am now having problems with my 50" RCA Scenium DLP TV. When I turn the unit on, I am getting no picutre, but I do get sound. I am getting an intermittent, ticking, static type noise from a piece of hardware inside along with the blue light on the front of the unit flashing. The noise comes and goes several times while I leave the unit on.
I have just now replaced the lamp, and a few months back replaced the color wheel (which was making a completely different sound). This problem has been happening frequently, but does not happen every time the unit is powered on. Sometimes it works perfectly. Maybe this is coincidence, but I find unplugging the unit for a substantial amount of time has resulted in a successful power up when I plug it back in.
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
