Sony baloney claims lamps would last up to 5 years. Hooey. And the sony extended warranty does not cover replacement (althought they swore up and down that it would).
one week after warranty expires my lamp goes out and the red light start blinking with no warning. I think this is an indication of more serious problem and should be covered by warranty as the lamp "warning" message never appeared.
