I plugged a bad svideo source into the front input panel on my hd set and now it won't come on unless I unplug the input board from the rear. The TV will come on and shut itself back off after a couple seconds.. the relay clicks back off.
After doing some research and getting the service manual, I've checked all the fuses (I think).. there were a total of nine listed in the manual. The error code is 2-4 "Vertical deflection failure"
Would replacing the convergence ICs be a likely plan of action? I've seen lots of people report the on and off again syndrome with no clear culprit. Am I better off sending the thing to the curb?
