Looooooong story short, Samsung HL-R6167W bought 1 & half years ago. Never worked proper since day one...bad light engine. Digital board went out less than a year. Finally got serviced 6 months ago but since then has severe delay issues. 6 months of frustration later they have cleared me to get new tv. I paid 3500 originally plus 600 for protection plan. Now they are wanting to exchange me a Mitsubishi WD-Y65 which sells for 1999.00 and only give me an extra 6 months on the factory warranty. RAW DEAL and I'm fighting it diplomatically but my question is to anyone...which TV is the one to buy for reliability. The Mitsubishi comes up short in reveiws and I am not so fond of Samsung right now. Do I scrap the Dlp all together and get a plasma or lcd and sacrifice size. I just want a good picture without having service issues always looming. THANK-YOU very much.
