Rat, one of these times you're out there adjusting the dish, take a socket wrench with you and tighten it up real good.

For keys, check in your system info you have the latest software installed: x-85bl_070411_293_api. Then make sure the autoroll option is turned ON.

Help! Since keys changed, no TV!
Pansat 2700A X-87bl | API:75-2.03_EUBX Boot Ver: 75 070411 bin
I have high level, but 0 quality. Did they move the SATs? I went to my roof and played with the position of the dish, but still no quality. I get "no signal" even on channels that are not scrambled. Can u please tell me if I should spend some more time on my roof or is it a software issue?
Nalin, anything???

therpo,
He hooked it to a pole and inserted into the groud. I have to get a new pole, because that is what is causing it to move. My system information reads x-85bl API :2.82Ta_EU Boot ver: 6.0 21. Oct. 2006 Future - FTA

Make sense?

Rat: Based on the information about your current BIN, I would suggest you install 293T BIN and not 293 BIN. There is a small chance that your receiver might be a Pansat 2500A clone and not the real thing.

bobby gordon:
1. Note down your DisEqC settings if any. Do factory reset.
2. Install factory BIN or 280T BIN
3. Install 28oT BIN.
4. Do user settings including time, date and time zone. Do disEqC settings if any.
5. Install 293T BIN.
6. Scan at least one satellite.
6. Set autoroll on, auto TP off
7. Switch off at back - wait 40 seconds. Switch on.
8. The keys will auto roll.
9. Scan other sattelites.

Make sure your files are unzipped. Use BL updater 1.4 and straight cable.
Always WAIT, WAIT, WAIT at the end of an upload to the receiver.
Best of luck

Please read my post that I posted earlier. My real question is, Would your bin or any other setting cause you not to get a signal?Or will you get a signal no matter what software is installed on the pansat 2700A?

Please help. I respect your suggestions.

Joe Vazman : Incomplete installation of the software followed by possible change of direction of your dish. The best I can suggest now is to reinstal the BIN and then do a repositioning of the Dish to aim it properly.

KmW: You can look at the switch and note down the physical connection. Alternatively try setting Port 1 to something such as 119W and see if you have good quality, then try scanning.
If you have time and do not want to climb on tothe roof, trial and error method works.

all channels seem to have gone off line. all channels report "no signal" error when selected. Tried a couple of other sites where new keys become available quite promptly but with no success. I watched the channels with the keys posted on June 13 until wee hours of Sunday. Hopefully new keys will be posted soon.

Diknet hasn't changed keys or anything else since the 13th. You have some other problem. "No signal" sounds like NO SIGNAL! not "scrambled channel". Check your antenna quality/strength levels.

Coolsats will power off if there is a short somewhere in your connection to LNB.

Or...
If you're running DPP LNB(s) or dp34 switch you should have DN receiver connected at the same time to supply power requirement. That means you can't just unplug coax from sub box and plug into fta, as it will often work for a few minutes, then nothing. And if it works you are putting strain on your box anyway, so keep sub box connected, and run another cable for fta.

bobby gordon :
You probably do not have your date, time and time zone set properly and with wrong time you are going into a never ending EPG fetch.
Another problem many people get into is not waiting long enough after an upload of a BIN.
Always when autoroll misbehaves in any way, the best thing to do is
1. Set date, time and time zone. Blind Scan if necessary.
2. Turn autoroll and autoTP off
3. do "Set default keys"
4. Install keys manually (Key 00 and Key 01) and SAVE.
5. Turn receiver off.
6. Turn it on after a minute.

If you still have problem, it would seem that you did not do the process of uploading the BIN properly.
All this applies to people who have good working setup. If your initial set up has changed, then you have intorduced other variables.

SamS: Note what Therepo has said above. This is the first time somebody on this forum has confirmed that with some DN equipment and LNBs, you need to power the system separately for FTA receivers to work. I have been aware of this problem notably with Pansat 3500 and some models of Viewsat and it seems that the C00LSATS may also have the same problem.

My quality went out. I changed my a dish direction and my quality came back 90%, but for Echo 7/ku 119, I am missing a lot of channels. I loaded all of the other Echo Satellite and they all mostly came in with all the channels, but the channels that I really want are on 7/ku. Why is some TP's Quality 0 when others is high? How can I get all the proper channels for 7/ku?

Therepo and Nalin, sorry, I don't understand what you mean with "so keep sub box connected, and run another cable for fta" I have been running my cs5K for almost 6 months with no problems with signal of ~97% on all LNBF. I was out of town over the weekend, so what happen suddenly?

I have 3 receivers in my 2 homes (I work in different town), 2 receivers are working flawlessly, and only mine have stop working.

Will resetting the receiver and re-scanning would fix the problem?

don;t try to rescan..... SamS

I am having the same problem right now as I mentioned in my prev. post. I tried to reinstall everything again by doing factory default settings. But then now I am also not able to scan as the quality is 0% & so its not taking any channels or TP while scanning.

In my case also this "No Signal" error came in the weekend & then it again disappered for about 2 hrs & then again it came on the screen killing my happiness.

I'm shocked what could happen out of the sudden over the weekend? It seems like someone disconnected the cable except when you turn the receiver off and on, the channels will come on for a few sec and then dissapear.

I did a reset this morning Harry, and now I have no channels and no signal.

Harry, have you tried bypassing the db34 switch? (I'm at work now and cannot try anything till later today).
Does anyone think the problem lie with the swtich? I'm sure it's not dish alignment, because it's set tight and we had no bad weather other than heat.

Anyone else is having similar problem beside Harry and I?

Nalin said above... "This is the first time somebody on this forum has confirmed that with some DN equipment and LNBs, you need to power the system separately for FTA receivers to work."

Well thats BS!!!!!!...
It has been posted here THOUSANDS of times that DPP LNB's (DN equipment) need an additional power source for the FTA receivers to operate..in fact myself and PRFRMNJ constantly advised people of this!

It means that U need to also connect a DN receiver and leave it powered ON always...as the DN receiver supplies power to the Dish Pro Plus LNB's, that a FTA receiver cannot always do alone....

That's why in my other home the 2 recievers are still working because I installed legacy LNB to the dish500 for 119/110 and another for 61.5 connected via dp34 switch, instead of the DPP.

Well Thanks LK for your advise. Let me get busy and start searching for DN receiver.

SamS: I had posted the following about 4-5 months ago, but at that time LK and his cronies wantedto laugh at me instead of accepting it.
ON THIS FORUM, I had attempted about 4 times to alert people to the power draw of DN equipment and in particular the LNBs with DP34. So LK, stop taking credit for something you were riduculing only a few month ago.

The following is part of my previous post on this subject.

http://www.microyal.com/dp-34a-instal-istrn.jpg

The DP34 gets its power from the receiver, which should be on for the switch to work. You might want to consider putting a separate power supply to DP34. You might also consider using a DP3437 dishpro adaptor, connect to one outlet of your DP34 and power it separately. "

rat...the bottom line is....to start with, U must realign the dish correctly and input the appropriate dish/antenna settings into your receiver, along with proper cabling and switch....U need to go to another site and read the manuals..there are NONE here...GO READ THE... SamS: Initially I was not aware that your problem might be related to DP34 switch and/or DN LNBs and their power draw.
I had posted many months ago a well researched statement - If you are using DN equipment and DP34 switches, you may have power problems with FTA receivers. Many people are switching from DN receivers to FTAs and running into this problem. Therefore, in all cases it is prudent to advise people to power the DP switch separately.
LK and his cronies, who had no idea about this problem ridiculed me, insulted me and pretended never to accept it. During those day 2-3 clients had their POansat 3500 damaged because they believed that LK and his cronies were right and I was wrong.

Now the same LK is trying to tell everybody that he always knew it and had always advised it. He is a Plagiarist and a liar of the worst kind.

I believe in playing it safe. There is a probability of damage to your receiver if the DP34 is not powered properly and I do not want to take any chances. The extra power does not cost too much - it can even be an old discarded DN receiver.

I have an old DN 3000 reciever in the basement (that's a lagacy receiver), will that work? I was reading around and people are saying that I need a receiver that can support and power DPP (in other words not a lagacy one). What's your thought on this?

In regard to a power inserter, any idea where to buy those? and what's better a power inserter or an old DN reciever?
Thanks

61.5 is a single dish 300 or dish 500
Others I'm not sure

I'm assuming you used to have signal on 119 and now you don't. Do you have dish 500? what kind of switch do you have? I'm assuming either your wire or the switch gotten bad. I heard the switch get bad every now and then. Try connecting the 119 directly to your reciever and see if you have a signal (bypass the switch).

I got no idea what switch I have. But as you said, the signal on the 119 is now completely gone and it has nothing to do with the keys. I'll talk with my brother; he knows about this much more than I do. I'll get back to you.

magicmeraj : If you want all these Sats, try a 30-33" Dish with a motor.

I did say that the size of Dish should be 30-33". You then motorise it and you can have all the above Sats. Motorised dishes are controlled with a controller and you swing it to the Sats as and when you need a channel for viewing, so angle is not as relevant as it is when setting up a fixed Dish.
From the level of knowledge you have about this technology, it is best you get an installer to install it for you. The approximate costs are about $100 for Dish about $150 for motor and about $80 for installation. Receiver costs vary between $100 to $250.
