I have a sony 32" plasma TV KE-32TS2U it's 4 years old. The TV was on amd made a loud pop and then no display. I took the Tv to the repair shop and they told me it's the power supply and it's going to be around $500 to fix.

I am unsure of what to do. Should i fix it or buy new.

No one can tell you what to do. Pepsi or Coke? If I were going to spend $500 on repair of that model, I would strongly consider replacement.

If you want to look into just replacing the power supply board, usually carries those parts for much cheaper than most places I've seen.

But then again, maybe it is time for a new tv?
