Samsung's are usually fitted with a Philips 120W e23 or e22 1.0 UHP Lamp. If you're buying a cheap and generic UHP lamp from eBay or somewhere like that, and it is NOT a 1.0mm arc, then that explains it.

IF you are buying the proper lamp and they continue the fail, you've got a weird short in your ballast. Change it. If you've got the older 100W ballast, opt for the 120W ballast and get the new e22 lamp with the adapter. Those small philips lamps are much more reliable than the older e23 Big lamps.

Good luck!
