On initial set-up of my Pioneer DVD-R 640-H-S there is an on-screen (TV) request to key in the code which also appears on the screen using the remote. The remote opens the DVD draw but doesn't seem to enter numbers, or at least not visible on the TV. I can't use the unit at all.
Is the unit or remote faulty? What cabling would the remote use to speak to the TV? Composite vid or TV signal coaxial?
