Toshiba w528 setting input source

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how to change the input source on my vcr to the rca jacks in the backi? By default the vcr only allows input from the f connector to be passed to the tv.
I'd like to change this to the rca input jacks on the back so that I can come from my camera instead.
Can I do this with out using the remote and if possible if anyone owns one of these things can you tell me exactly what buttons to hit to get this done when I turn the vcr on?
I am blind and will need to learn how to do this with out someone who sees to help me reset the vcr whenever the power goes out.
