I have a 62" DLP. It's about 2/1/2 years old. In that time I have had 3 lamps burn out. Toshiba has been no help. Something for you to consider when deciding on a DLP. At $ 200.00 a lamp that is getting expensive. They hav'nt come close to the 6,000 hours of use.
I had the same problem 2 in 2 years with the 52hm84 but I had the set plugged directly into the wall with no surge protector. I didn't realize I did that. I have a surge now and I hope that solves the problem. Is your set plugged into a surge protector?
