I own a Mitsubishi 55" wide screen rp hdtv. A couple months ago I purchsed some component cables for my ps2 and hooked them into the "DTV 480p/720p/1080i" input. Then I played GT4 in 1080i mode and it looked fantastic. I'm sure it was in 1080i because after I set it in the game, the corner display on my TV read "1080i" after that, I didn't play for a while but when I tried it again, it would go into 1080i and then the screen went black and it reverted back to 480p. I tried it several times but it seemed like it just didn't have the muscle to stay in 1080i. I just got an Xbox 360 from my wife this Christmas and I'm having the same problem when I try to set the console's video setting to 1080i. (I'm also using rgb component cables in the same input I used to have my ps2 cables in). Do any of you guys have any idea what's wrong and how/if it can be fixed?
Also, I keep getting a message like "invalid power please check your rgb connections" or something. Thanks.
