Just attempted to watch my first HD DVD on my Samsung DVD-HD860 player. Didn't work. The only problem I can think is my dvd player does not support HD DVD format.... however, it is a HDMI DVD player.??? Are these not the same thing?? The support by Samsung gives a list of 'playable discs' but HD DVD is not on there. But is also not on the list of formats it does NOT support. ????? Is assuming my HDMI DVD player is the same as an HD DVD player? tks!
