But I'm not sure you understand that I don't have 2 cables coming down from 110 and 119, but only one, so I couldn't use different ports. DN 500 has 2 LNBs, but they combine the signal from these 2 LNBs into one cable at the dish before they send it down to the house. The DN receiver sees both satellites just fine because I guess it does its internal switching. VS Extreme apparently can't. |

New member Username: JabatamaPost Number: 5 Registered: Oct-06 | I have a weird problem. 2 deshis and one 4x1 cable thingy that has 1 cable going down the TV box. 110 and 119. have 2 boxes - c**sat 4000 pro and VS2000. So, when I hook up the c**lsat I can see both 110 and 119 - of course some chanels are not there. I used to be able to watch CNN, not anymore. However that does not bother me much. But when I hook-up the VS2000 I can only see 110 or 119 but never both unless I switch the dreaded Desecq thingy to port 3. Can understand that thing - I get the pan on the roof is properly aligned since I can watch both 110 and 119 on the C**lsat thingy. What the problem with the brand new VS200 ? |

You may get by with a 20" dish but 30" is better and a special LNB. With LNB used for most KU band, you will get weak signals. or with a 30-32" dish pointing to Intelsat 5 at 97W. Look at the details of antenna setting for C00lsat and you may find that 110 is connected to one port and the 119 is connected to another port in the software. Do the same DisEqC setting with your Viewsat and scan for each dish. With some receivers you need to switch off between two different scans. If possible do a blind scan for each port connection. |

The weird thing is that a month ago both C**lsat 400 Pro and VS2000 were working fine on both 110 and 119, now only the C**lsat works (of course, without some chanels like CNN and others) but the VS2000 box works only if I manually switch between 110 and 1009. Sad, I just bought the VS2000 - perhaps a bad choice. Should've bought SonicView. Is there any fix to that ? I really like VS2000 (when it is working). I hate to buy a third box so I can watch 110 and 119. Yes, I did individualy "Blind Scan", " Manual Scan" and one more Scan - no results. If you can help me, I will appreciate, if nothing works I will trow the VS2000 in the lake. |

The purpose of auroroll bin is to download keys by itself on the recevier when they get updated, instead of manually entering it 3 or 4 times a day, which is a pain. So its a good thing that your autoroll is working good and you have confimed that it has been good for a long time. So have fun watching TV. |

Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 1040 Registered: Jun-06 | Trinity: You are pointing to 61.5 (echo 3 KU) for International channels. I have about 12 Indo/pakistani channels on that. ZTV give Marathi occasionally. For more Marathi channels you will have to try Intelsat 5 (97 w) using 30-32" dish. Your Echo 7 dish is pointing to 119W and at 118.8 W is AMC16. You might have to mount a separate circular LNB to get most of the Govt channels that you get on Intelsat 5. Also you are better off with a 20" dish for AMC 16. Look at www.lyngsat*com for more info. |

Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 1042 Registered: Jun-06 | If you have the latest autoroll BIN, it helps to keep the receiver on, so that the keys roll in. You can just turn off the TV screen, but leave the receiver on. If you do not get the channels, try switching off and on at the back. If that does not work, then trun autoroll off, do a 'SET DFAULT KEYS" and enter the latest keys, save them, then turn switch off and on and wait for about 2 minutes and try a couple of known channels that come in more quickly than others. Sometimes your clock is not right, and the EPG info coming in cuases a problem and you get "bad or scrambled" channel. Try putting in the right time and time zone. |

Gold Member Username: NydasPost Number: 1044 Registered: Jun-06 | PEPEREPE: When you are using FTA receivers instead of the Bell/Bev receivers for paid services, I have found that two dual LNBs with two 4:1 DisEqC switches is a satisfactory solution for distribution. You would have all the documentation when your switch is new, but then when you go up to the roof a year later because of some changes, you will not make a mistake with two DisEqC switches - Any input combination can be used. Using a SW 42 or SW 44, you may get power supply problems and may run into problems if you change later and don't have documentation. I am prepared to buy SonicView 1000 as recommended by Nalin and I believe it is owned and supported by ViewSat. I have a concern about buying an original receiver. Could you please guide me in this matter. I would prefer to go to a store and pick it up myself. I am in Toronto area. Please let me know if there is a dealer you may recommend or if there is a realible and authorized web site with reasonable price (free shipping etc). But still there is something bad somewhere.. .. We have deleted all channels.. and rescanned 119 Echostar 7 & 131 AMA 11( as per Nalin Lyda"s advice).. In the morning NO or BAD Signals... But in the Evening it work fine... Still the SET & SAHARA are missing... I will check out in the ftatv.com as u suggested us.. RAKESH the cartoon channel I can"t find the No 169... Please tell me by Name...it would be easier.. THANK You INDEED RAKESH |
