I'm on the market for buying a new LCD, considering the Sharp Aquos LC45D40. What are the trustworthy web sites that you folks reccomend and any opinions on my choice of TV?

Circuit City has it for $3200 and centraldigital.com has it for $2419, very tempting, assuming the 12month warranty still applies. Thanks for any help you can give.

and if the budget site sells you a TV, how are you going to send it back for repair ? Will they still be there 18 months later if you have a problem ?

Other than Crutchfield.com, I would buy locally for such a large purchase.

That's true but we're talking about a $600 saving. I guess the question is, is it worth taking a chance. But also, I thought that if a problem occures while the tv is under the manufacturer's warranty, then any authorized repair shop will handle the repairs. am I correct?

OEM warranties are usually short and in the fine print of some, you have to purchase the TV from an authorized dealer (avoiding gray-market equipment)

In the end, it is all a risk vs benefit decision, good luck
