Hello everyone! I'm looking to buy a HD LCD Television. I have a budget
of around $1000.00. I know very little about the technology. I'm
looking for something 30" or larger. Are there any HDTV's that are
recommended in that price range for the screen size that I want? I've
included links from some of the local stores in my area. Walmart has
the best prices, but I'm not sure what I'd be getting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PC World says CRT televisions are more reliable than new technolgy televisions. If you check the cost of extended warranties, LCD televisions cost a lot more to warranty than CRT televisions. There are good and bad reviews on most LCD televisions, so picking a brand and model is almost impossible. I never buy extended warranties, but I will not buy any HDTV without a 4 year extended warranty. Good luck.

Stay away from Wal Mart's crap!! If you dont, you'll wish you had. I suggest saving up some more money and getting something for a little more money that will give you the image you are hoping for. $1,000 wont cut it.
