I recenly bought a sharp aquos 26" lcd tv. Model LC-26DA5U.

Here is my problem.

Im trying to connect my PC to my lcdtv to use as a monitor, but this model does not have vga input or a DVI input, it has an HDMI input.

So i bought a DVI cable that goes from my computer to a DVI/HDMI converter then into my TV.

I see a picture on the TV but i only get a decent picture at a 480 resolution. I have to force a 720 or a 1080 resolution from my video card but the picture becomes fuzzy. Not clear at all. The resolution just seems wrong for the tv. The picture goes off the edges.

I went through a lot of trouble to get the right cable, and adapter. Maybe one of those is the problem.

Specs:
My video card is the MSI RX9550 DVI-I
My DVI cable is a 24 + 1
The tv is the Sharp Aquos LC-26DA5U.

If anyone else has an aquos please tell me if you were able to get a clear picture when connecting it to a PC. Im really starting to doubt that this model was made for PC use.

Any tips on how i can get a clearer picture or what the problem may be?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can still return this product, so if there is no solution please suggest a model with PC capability in the similar price range, im considering buying a generic brand like Mag.

Thank you in advance.
