CompUSA is will have the 50 inch model on sell for $1999 on Sunday, if the add is correct. That's half the normal price as seen here: http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=337034&pfp=SEARCH . I couldn't find any good information about Akai's recent products searching. Any thoughts? Any comparison to other bargain brands like Vizio (as seen at Costco)? |

There's very little information on it on the net though. I'm mildly interested in checking it out, but those hideous speakers better be detachable. They would be a deal breaker for me if they're not. |

I am very interested in knowing of any "budget" flat pannel (plasma or lcd) which is actually quality. I can do without a few features, but the picture has to be there and everthing it does have needs to work well. |
