VHS tape stuck in TV/VCR due to broken power button

Hi - I put my Robin Hood, Men in Tights tape into our communal house's TV/VCR. When I pushed the power button, it broke and fell back into the TV. Is there a way I can release the tape - it's not stuck - just won't eject without power! - or do I just buy another Robin Hood? Thanks for your help. Degan
