So the repair man just called me up RCA HDLP 50W151

Mr DLP Unregistered guest	Posted on Thursday, February 02, 2006 - 01:00 GMT Well this Set is about 2 years old. so the repair man called us today and said that we need a new lamp and a new power supply. and that with installation it should run us $800. Does this sound normal to any of you guys? I live in Brooklyn and hopefully someone can reccomend me to a place in nyc were i can get this done cheaper. Can anyone give me any advise. Im sure i could install the parts myself but i have no idea where to find the parts for a good price. Also i have been reading some of the other posts about the 50w151 and I have not read about anyone needing a new power source, could he just be pulling my leg? Thank You

I havent a clue what a power supply is, so I cant help you there. Try ebay for the lamp or RCA direct.
