2 VCR's, 1 Cable Box, 1 TV...how to connect

I have a friend who just moved and did *not* mark his cables before moving his TV & VCR's.

He wants to connect two VCR's and the Cable Box to his TV. Previously, he was able to record on one channel with one VCR and record on a different channel with the other VCR.

Somehow, he did not use a splitter or any A/B switch.

He has co-ax cable only, no S-Video.

If it matters, the Cable system is Adelphia (yuck).

We've tried many entertaining options that did not work. Currently we have it set up so that he can record only the station the cable box is set to but at least he can see *something*.

Hi!
usually digi cable boxex output only one channel at the time, so if you have only the digibox you can not rec 2 channel in the same time. If you have an extra signal source (aerial analog)then it's OK
