I have a specific need for a new technology TV Monitor (LCD, LCOS, DLP Direct or Rear Projection. Plasma won't work at my altitude.
My ONLY use for this TV is to watch Standard 4:3 Satellite signals. (There's no HDTV where I live)
Its difficult to get the stores to hook up a standard signal for examination. They all want to play the HD loop. When they do let you see a standard 4:3 broadcast non-HD program, the pictures do NOT look very good.
Is there anyone out there who is in this boat and found an acceptable TV?
Specifically: Only non-HD 4:3 channels; High altitude where Plasma won't work well. Not a CRT type. I have the Sony 40" direct and its just too large for the place I need to put it.
