a friend just gave me a 2000 zenith and when i am trying to set it up(program channels) it keeps only setting up the firts 12 channels. we have tryed another cable hookup and the same thing. we don't have a cable box on this one. i don't know where else to go. tryed going online to users manual and that was no help. any ideas? thanks

Deanna, somewhere in the menu you need to set the antenna setting to "Air". If it's in "Cable" you will only get ch. 2- 13. After setting it to "Air", try to program the channels again.
Actually, I think Randy has it backwards. If you are using straight cable with no cable box (as you said), you need to switch the tuner mode to "Cable". Then scan the channels.
we did try both and it didn't work. we are switching the tv with another one of the same kind and we will see if it works. if not i will be on here asking again. thanks for the advice. wish me luck!
