Have had this TV since Xmas of 2003, great TV, but a couple weeks ago started getting, I think solarization, called repairman and they want $1500 to fix it.
Of course I didn't get the extended warranty, I mean I have never had a problem like this before.
Anyone negotiated with Samsung over this and is this common?
And which TV should I get to replace, cause I won't spend that much to fix this one. Need a reputable company and TV
All of a sudden we started getting flashing lights on the screen, this would happen after the TV had been on for awhile, the longer the TV was off the longer it took to start, the flashing got worse once it started, repairman came said he had never seen it before, called Samsung techs and they said it was the light engine.
I then called Samsung and they said yes it was and so sorry we can't be of more help, they were nice but just kind of a too bad attitude
