I have a DVD player/VCR combo connected by scart lead to my TV. My father has given me a freeview set-top box and the instructions for set up seem straight forward. The set top box has only one scart connection and I appreciate this means I will not be able to record programmes from digital signal. However, if I connect the DVD player/VCR combo to TV using the RF cable, will I still be able to view DVDs? Am asking before I start so that I don't lose all my settings!
If your DVD/VCR has a scart IN, connect box's scart OUT to DVD/VCR's scart IN and DVD/VCR's scart OUT to TV's scart IN. I suppose, you can record from the box if you set your DVD/VCR to LINE.
