Replace the television.

Zenith sets from the late 1980s all the way throughout the 1990s had picture tube problems where the screen would start to exhibit an excessive color dominance due to a fault in the cathode ray emitters, usually green. The only fix is to replace the entire picture tube, which is a finnancially impractical option.

When shopping for your next set, stay away from all American brands. Zenith is currently owned by LG, which is South Korean. RCA and GE sets are made by Thomson, which is based in France. Needless to say, these companies are no longer American (GE is still an American company, but they no longer make their own home electronic products: just appliances, jet engines, and other items).

Go with a Japanese brand, namely Sony, JVC, a higher end Toshiba, Sharp, or Hitachi. - Reinhart
