I have finally found the correct forewire to connect my camcorder to my pc but the capture program that I have say that is doesn't recognize the camcorder. Someone said that I needed a video card but I just want to make sure before I shell out more cash...do I need a video card or just a better video capture program?

No!!! Try Pinacle studio 9 or another capture program. Thats problem a JVC software.
