I have been looking into getting a DVD/VHS combo, but the more I research, the more confused I get. I have looked into some Toshibas, Sony's, Panasonics and JVC. I almost settled on the JVC MV1S but after reading the multitude of negative reviews I decided against it, almost considering the Panasonic DMR-E85H, but it seems more than I will use it for. I am looking for a reliable, dependable, easy-to-use, a sensible remote would be great, with excellent recording and playback in both VHS and in DVD formats mainly to tape some TV shows, convert VHS tapes to DVD and enjoy the playback capabilities on both all integrated into my home audio system. Any help out there?
"Any help out there?" Buy separates if you really want "excellent recording and playback in both VHS and in DVD formats". You've heard it a thousand and one times on this forum: combos suck. Buy one and you'll see why many of us feel that way.
