My barely 2 year old dvd player has stopped reading discs. When I put a dvd in, it says loading and then displays a 'no disc' label on the screen. I tried cleaning it and it hasn't changed anything. Any advice?

The laserpickup is defective. The only repair is to replace the pickup. Not really worth it as they are built today to be discarded not repaired. It would be cheaper to replace the machine. $40 bucks at Loblaws of all places. Repair shp will charge you $25 plus the part.
