Have a new 42" plasma and an adelphia STB box. Hooked it up according to manual and get the picture but when we hook up the red and white to audio out we don't get any sound.
Well I don't know what type of STB's Adelphia uses, so.... 1. Do you have sound from other devices connected to your Plasma? 2. Are there volume control buttons on the front of your STB? if so make sure the volume is not turned all the way down 3. Is it possible for you to temporarily connect the STB to another TV and see if you have sound on that TV?

I HAVE A 50 INCH RCA DLP TV AND WHEN I HOOK UP MY COMCAST HD MTOROLA BOX IT HAS NO SOUND BUT IF I HOOK UP THE CABLE DIRECTLY TO MY TV IT HAS SOUND.DOES THAT MEEN MY CABLE BOX IS BROKE? OR DO I HAVE TO HOOK IT THROUGH THE DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT TO GET SOUND?
