Ghosts on TV Screen

I have a new house with ComCast cable. Several of our TVs have fairly faint ghosts on the screen. Is it likely that adding an amplifier ahead of the main splitter in the distribution box will eliminate the ghosts?

Thanks, Bill

Actually, it is my experience that ghosting is caused many times by over-amplification. You may actually need to pad the signal to prevent unwanted frequencies from displaying when you are on a particular channel.

Ghosts can appear as a result of overdriving or occasionally underdriving (weak signal) the tuner. I would try an attenuator before additional amplication as suggested by Anonymous.

Uh Oh. That may be more than this forum can handle. Stu Pitt, if you are out there would you give Cole S. a hand here?

Sheesh. It's just a line from a movie. Cole S. is the name of the character who utters the line.

Are we REALLY incapable of handling that, Mr. Policeman? Can't you see that it might be a tiny bit funny?
