Can anyone tell me how I can get A better picture from my 60V500A I just purchased it 4/4/04. The DSS picture is unwatchable it's very grainy and screeny . If your watching a basketball game you can't even read the names on there jerseys. Anyone have any ideas??????
Use the component connections. It should help (the 3 individual video signals)

turn up the noise reduction and that will help a little. Also turn down the sharpness to about 28%.
Regular DSS, non HDTV will not look very good. I tried 4 differant DVD's on this TV and the only one I found that looked good was the Onkyo cp701. I really wanted the new Dennon 910 but it didn't have the picture quality of the onkyo.
Mario, I too use Directv, however I am not experiencing any grain. Make sure your are using RG6 cable from the dish direct to the receiver. If you have split the cable, make sure it is a splitter rated for Satellie (>1ghz). Component Video cables would definite help, but not all Directv receivers have component out.
