Mits claims that cost per unit (avg. worldwide)on CRT RP shipping/insurance that they end up eating for any bigger dealers comes down to around $110 per tv but the DLP sets cost them $40. Also consider that profit in a Micro is on average 10 points higher than CRT (1/4 to 1/5) more profit per retail dollar. This is what drives the getting out of CRT more than anything else. Last thing. No BETTER time to pull of a very less than perfected technology for more $$ than when customers are hooking them & seeing them demo'd with a signal up to 200% better than they have ever seen before and they are so light weight to boot! Everyone knows that DLP black levels are matching CRT black levels while LCD is still unable to. Using wording from a 2003 article as your own is pretty lame. It's pure plagiarism. It's misleading and outdated. This proves beyond doubt that tom bong is a fraud. |
