After hovering around 95% on my Mediacom HD-DVR for weeks (without any HD recordings to boot), I decided to pick up a DVD recorder to ease my pain.
I tried around 6 configurations to no avail. I can't get the hookup to work.
My current set-up:
My Philips HD monitor is connected to my HD DVR via Y,Pb, PR component video cables (my 1080i upconvert DVD player is hooked up to the monitor using DVI).
The manual doesn't explain hook-up using a cable box and/or DVR. Outside of a straight tv/antennae connection, they cover nothing else.
The using video or s-video connections from the DVD Recorder to the HDTV or DVR doesn't seem to work. There's no way to access the DVR in input 4 when I'm connecting the DVD recorder through input 1 on the HDTV. And when I connect the DVD recorder directly to the DVR, I can't even access the DVD recorder's menu. It's DOA.
