TV has strange picture stretching on left & right edges. HELP!?

Shawn Selway New member Username: Sselway Post Number: 1 Registered: Jul-05	Posted on Thursday, July 21, 2005 - 13:31 GMT We just took delivery of our new 65 in JVC HDTV projection and while watching movies I have noticed that the left and right sides tend to warp/stretch the movie. For example if a person in a movie comes from out of the corner his head and body etc are stretched a bit and it goes away once he is centered on the screen. Very strange but I am curious if this is normal. I have a progressive scan dvd player that is connecting to the tv with component cables.

These include a couple of zoom modes, a 16:9 mode, a 4:3 mode, and panoramic. It sounds like yours is on panoramic. When I'm watching older 4:3 programs I keep the set in the 4:3 sizing mode. This means I have black bars on the sides instead of distorting the picture with the other size settings.
