Fellow Forum Members, I just got the LG LRY-517 DVD/VCR recorder and the problem I'm having is one I find hard to believe. The unit plays DIVX and XVID movies
nicely but what is disappointing is that it doesn't allow one to fast forward or go backward only when playing a DIVX or XVID movie. Why would a LG Electronics sell a unit with such a big handicap? Viewing DIVX or XVID movies on my computer gives me the ability to fast forward, so why is not possible using the LG LRY-517? Can this unit be flashed to fix this problem? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
