I'm moving somewhere where the cable sucks, and I am thinking about getting the lowest level cable package that will get me HD, then getting the lowest level Dish Network package to get ESPN2, MTV2, etc. Anyone tried this, or current has this setup?

I have both (Charter) cable and DN but it is only because I had DN before and my wife knows how to use the DN remote before I move to my current house. Since I can't get DSL, my only option is cable modem and to get the cable modem, I have to subscribe at least to the basic cable service. Plus the fact that Charter offers cheap monthly fee for the HD-DVR. These are the only reasons I have cable. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole. The PQ is way worse than satellite.
