I'm looking to put together a number of movie clips onto a VHS tape for a presentation (don't ask me why we're stuck with VHS, but we are). I have all of the films on DVD and a relatively new VAIO with the full multimedia outputs.
Given this situation, any advice on software (preferable free/cheap) that would let me rip clips off DVDs, edit them into a contiguous high-quality clip and then transfer them (and I imagine by-pass any scrambling) onto VHS?
