Record TV programs from USB TV Tuner directly to Laptop's DVD Recorder

Hi guys,
I have a toshiba satellite laptop and it is equipped with an embedded DVD-Recorder and a USB TV Tuner.
I was just wondering if I can use my laptop as a stand-alove DVD Recorder so that I can record straight on DVD-RW's my favourite TV programs - the same time that I watch them on the TV.
