My Philips 60" has a grainy picture. How can I correct this?

Ditch cable and order a sat service!

How's the DVD picture?

A little better or much better?

What connection do you have for sat? For DVD?

Component Pr, Pb, Y is the preferred method.

Is the Phillips a digital HD set or old analog?

It is an HD ready tv, I am not using the Pr,Pb, Y connections. Just the regular red, White and Yellow connections.

You are using the digital to analog
converter in both the sat box and the DVD player when using the single yellow video connection.
The converter could be bad or the connection could be bad.
An HD ready set will display a digital signal from the sat box if the component connection or the DVI/HDMI connection is used. Same for a DVD player. A digital signal cannot get grainy. It can freeze or fragment if weak, but will never be grainy.
