Any one have any success with a particular DVD player being hooked up to the 700U. I just got mine and I am at least interested in using HDMI upconversion. Is it worth buying one or waiting until real HD shows up? In particular any experience with DENON 1910 or Panny S97.
I was looking for an inexpensive way to get a DVD player with HDMI and something with a VCR/TV tuner in it for my AE700. I got a Toshiba SV-592. For the money, it is great: HDMI output, tuner built in for less than $150. Besides the menu system which is ok, but not polished off, I think this is great combination player for the money and the most in-expensive way to get HDMI and a TV tuner in one box. I am waiting to make my HD decision (digital cable or Direct-TV), then the tuner won't matter but for now it gets me what I wanted.
