Bronze Member Username: ChrisinyorkPost Number: 35 Registered: Dec-04 | Hi everyone, I am going to buy an APC Back-UPS ES 650VA UPS for my LCD RP TV, but I wasn't impressed with it's surge protection capabilities (365 Joules). Some of the Monster power strips handle over 2000 Joules. I like the Monster ones for power conditioning, etc. I was wondering if anyone would recommend combining the two? Perhaps plug the Monster strip into the wall, then plug the UPS into one of the strip's outlets. Use the strip for all other AV components, and plug the TV into the UPS. Has anyone done this before? Other recommendations? |
