Using DVD recorder (Toshiba D-KR2) With HBO. Please Help!

HBO is using CGMS-A -- Content Generation Management System for Analog. However this should not stop me from making one copy of a given program according to HBO's web site. ( Click here: HBO Online: Corporate Info : FAQ - HBO Application of CGMS-A Copyright Protection ) When I try to record a movie onto a DVD -R it records for about 15 min then I get the error message that the program is copy protected. Is there something I need to do with the settings of my DVD recorder? If not is there anyway of preventing this signal from stopping the recording?

Thank you,
Amanda

The Toshiba recorders are over sensitive to the protection, many other people with the same problem. You have to use RAM.

Thanks for your help. I was afraid that I would have to use RAM. RAM will not work with my other players.

Panasonic players will play RAM, they have to be taken out of the cartridge though.
