Hello Folks!! Just purchased a new JVC HD-52Z575 ILA projection and followed that up with a new Toshiba SD-5970 DVD player with the HDMI output to upgrade from my old player.Got a great buy by the way at Ecost for $129.99 and free shipping. Started to shop for a HDMI switch for the new setup and was totally shocked and taken back by the prices I was finding!!! $199 was the lowest # I could find!! Needless to say I will have to tolerate doing it manually. I can't justify paying more for a switch than the piece of equipment it is switching!!! Anyone know why this is?? Is it just the manufacturer's being greedy??
