My sammy HLM5065W colors are going crazy. The screen is shimmering or phosphoresing. Reds and Greens seem to be off the most but all colors are off. My toshiba bulb has about 2300 hours. Is the bulb ready to be replaced? I called Samsung customer support and the only help they are is to give you a service center.

Sounds like it might be the color wheel. Any odd noises? You might try reseating the bulb assembly. It's really easy and is covered in the manual.
Thanks Klaus. I have removed and reseated the lamp assembly and there are no strange noises. It did look a little discolored. I was suspecting the color wheel may be bad but have not found any info on removing and inspecting it for failure.
