I just got this thing in and it looks great! The only question I have is why I can't get full screen when I'm watching DVDs? When I am in wide mode, I get the bands at the top and bottom of the screen. I can understand why that is there because I am getting the full picture. But when i switch to the 4:3 view, I get the picture shrunk down to fit within the size of the top/bottom bands that the wide view had. Cable TV is in full screen, it is just this was for DVD. Any experience with this and how I can get around it?

DVD's are rarely in 16:9 which is a 1.77-to-1 aspect ratio. The best I have found is 1.85-to-1 which will have small black bands at the top and bottom. Some DVD's are 2.35-to-1 which is even worse.
My DVD controller has a zoom feature and I can fill the screen with the 1.85-to-1 DVD's and loose very little picture content on the sides.
